As head honcho of The Display Team and founder member I have to maintain high standards of flying quality and display ability. Which isn't easy as all the team members are extremely proficient on the Flyers. When you also note that both my brother (Dr Llewi) and Uncle (Twinky) are also in the team there's plenty of sibling and family rivalry to help maintain the high standards.

For me the most memorable flights will be those made at Knoebels in 2001 as they were the last set my late father got to ride. The amount of fun and laughter that was had that day will remain with me forever thus making Knoebels a very special place for me. I can recall a group of ten of us getting off the ride after a particularly impressive session of chain snapping (remember the description from the history page?). There were tears of laughter just rolling down our cheeks as it was just SO much fun and it took a good three or four minutes before anybody was recovered enough from all the laughing to go back on and have another play!

Since discovering the Flying Scooters ride for the first time back in Southport I have always looked forward to any theme park that has a set installed as each set is different in how it behaves and how it's controlled. Part of the fun of flying is working out how to get the best out of each individual ride and then there is that sense of achievement when you get it right.
