Whatever you do DO NOT look at the pictures yet. Read on first!

Now you all know of my passion for a bit of Historic Rallying and that pure bred child of mine - the Red Escort. Some of you even managed to pursuade me to take you out for a little trip in it. As some of you and probably all of you by now know that the little red baby was sold last October. Some of you were disappointed as there were some promises of a trip out in it.

So now comes the point when I can reveal the reason for selling the Red Escort. You've guessed it a new White Escort. (OK you can look at the pictures now!)

Full house works group 2 replica Twincam that I have been having restored for 13 yes 13 years! Not quite all there yet but it's taxed and insured for the road and its first event should be 21st August. I'll let you know how the new baby behaves!!

Hong Kong - Not a bloody chance!

Might hire out the Landy though if I don't need it for a couple of weeks!

Come to think of it the Landy and the rally car have something in common - 20 miles per gallon if you're lucky!! (And the new baby requires lead substitute and an octane booster as well to run properly!) (When rallying the Escort will probably do about 10 miles per gallon!)

Yer better off hiring a proper car and then coming for a visit! I might take you out but that will depend on whether the "winter developments" have been finished! (Decambered Springs, Group 4 front brakes, rear disc conversion etc etc!!)

By the way - I have it on good authority that the current owner of the old Blue and White Big Wing has fully restored it and put it back into full rallying trim!! I would like to see that!

And i thought we were Bruvvers !!!

At 20 miles/Gallon forget it can't afford the petrol prices - Would be nice to see some pic's of the Big Wing - remember it well.

See how things go in Honkers - looking to move from South Horizons - still looking for the perfect place.
Have had 2 Typhoon signal 3's and 2 Black Rain storms in the last 3 weeks - been very wet lately.

Just a little update. The car performed well at the Wugging Stages! A few little issues that we resolved during the day. Came last but at least we finished. The only real problem was prior to the rally I had to put the "standard" diff in so with very little acceleration and lots of top speed (if the straights were long enough) we just didn't really get the chance to push very hard.

Still, all bodes well for the winter developments so by next year we should be all running well. Then I'll need to start thinking about a "proper" engine rather then the "borrowed" standard one that's in the car at the moment.

If you want to see some pictures go to the link below and look for car 50.
